Special visits during Holy Week

March 21st, 2008

Greetings everyone!!!  As we celebrate this Holy Week I wanted to share with you two special visits that we received this week.  On Tuesday the 18th we received a visit from the 2nd & 3rd graders from St. Andrew School in Bridgeport.  This is their 4th year coming to see us.  Every year during Lent the children raise money by doing good deeds and with this money they purchase an Easter plant to give to our residents.  During the visit they sing many uplifting songs and spend time with our residents.  Both the residents and children look forward to this event.  Along with the children we also are visited by their teachers and a few parents.  Also on Friday the 21st we received a visit from the Greater Bridgeport Christian Fellowship.  It was a very spiritual event.  We were able to have a worship service with beautiful music from their choir.  The recreation room was jammed packed.  There were some tears but they were tears of joy.  We also had some family present and some of our staff came in to join in the singing.  It was truly an inspirational event.  Pictures will soon follow.
