Health of Southport provides comprehensive short
term and long term rehabilitation services in our newly renovated
state of the art rehabilitation department featuring workout
equipment along with an activities for daily living suite, complete
with kitchen, laundry and bathroom. Experienced physical, occupational
and speech and language therapists are part of the interdisciplinary
team of professionals, including nurses, dietary, social services
and therapeutic recreation. The rehabilitation staff emphasizes
a team approach, tailoring each treatment plan to meet the full
range of needs of each resident. Family members and caregivers
are encouraged and welcomed to be an active part of the recovery
process. Interdisciplinary family meetings, home safety evaluations
prior to discharge, and patient and family teachings are all
part of the rehabilitation process. Our rehabilitation team
is dedicated to maximizing the independence, the safety, and
the quality of life of each individual. Physical and occupational
therapy services are provided 6 days a week by registered therapists. |
